Matching Campaign On Global Giving
We have 8 hours for donations to be matched by Global Giving and then have them further matched by the CityZens campaign up to 55,000 GBP.https://www.globalgiving.org/projects/cityzens-giving-for-recovery-yokohama/
Global Challenge Team "The Michelin Stars"
A big shout out to my KIWL Team, The Michelin Stars. We have walked over 5,000,000 team steps since the kick off of the Global Challenge on May 27th. We are currently, virtually, in Spain on the challenge of walking 10,000 steps a day. This has included many bike rides including the one below where the team went 150km (without me....was "busy" that day) but we will continue to train for the 500km ride in October with rides in Shimoda and Yamanako scheduled. We could not be luckier than to have all these wonderful people as very supportive team members.
July 15 th Bonus day
2020 July Bonus Day
Terms + Conditions
Dates + Eligibility
GlobalGiving’s July Bonus Day runs from 09:00:00 a.m. ET to 23:59:59 p.m. ET on Wednesday, July 15, 2020, or until matching funds run out.
This Bonus Day is designed to celebrate our higher-dollar donors and help GlobalGiving partners move smaller-dollar donors up to new giving heights. Accordingly, only donations of $100 USD and up will count on Bonus Day and, the higher the donation, the higher the match!
Eligibility: All Partner, Leader, and Superstar organizations are eligible to participate in this campaign. All associated active projects and microprojects will be automatically included on the leaderboard (no opt-in required). For microprojects, check the expiration date as GlobalGiving cannot extend the 90-day time period.
Matching Funds
There will be $250,000 USD in matching funds during the campaign.
Donations will be matched based on amount:
Donations of $100 - $499 USD will be matched at 15%
Donations of $500 - $749 USD will be matched at 30%
Donations of $750 - $1,000 USD will be matched at 50%
In order to benefit as many partners as possible, organizations will be capped at $3,000 USD in matching funds.
Donations under $100 USD will not be matched and will not appear on the leaderboard as funds raised.
Donations above $1,000 USD will be matched on the first $1,000 at 50%.
The match offer is restricted to donations made by unique donors per organization. For example, if an individual gave three separate $1,000 gifts to three projects run by the same organization on Bonus Day, only their first gift would be matched at 50%.
Donations will be matched based on the order in which they are received. We encourage you to get donations in early because matching funds will likely run out before the end of the day.
Unique donors are determined using numerous criteria, including name, email address, credit card number, mailing address, and IP address. We are monitoring these and other parameters in our system to ensure that only distinct donors are counted.
The leaderboard will display the remaining matching funds.
For the purposes of calculating matching amounts, donations made in other currencies will be converted to USD. The exchange rate will be estimated at the time of the donation, but may be subject to change until the donation settles with the donor’s bank or credit card. Funds will be disbursed using the exchange rate based on the settlement value of each transaction.
Please note that GlobalGiving will monitor and review all donations made through this matching offer.
GlobalGiving reserves the right to make final decisions on all matters concerning the allocation of matching funds.
Monthly Giving Match:
New monthly donations up to $200 USD per donor per project started during this Bonus Day will get an additional 100% match on their initial donation as long as it remains active for a minimum of four payments.
This **100% Monthly Match **offer will remain active while one-time matching remains, after it’s exhausted, and for every day in 2020.
Please note, monthly donations started by project leaders or staff of the recipient project or organization are not eligible for the 100% Monthly Match.
Bonus Prizes
There will be $30,000 USD in bonus prizes for the top 5 projects with the most funds raised: $10,000, $8,000, $6,000, $4,000, $2,000
Projects must have at least 5 unique donations of $100 USD or more on the leaderboard to be eligible for bonus prizes.
Organizations can only win one bonus prize. We recommend selecting one prize to aim for and one project to promote on Bonus Day.
Donation Eligibility
Donation Amount: As this campaign is geared toward higher-dollar fundraising, only donations of $100 USD and higher will count on the July Bonus Day leaderboard.
Donation Method: Online donations (credit card, debit card, PayPal, Apple Pay, and individually purchased GlobalGiving gift cards) and mobile donations through M-Changa will count towards your total raised during the July Bonus Day. Donations must be made by the account or credit card holder.
Ineligible Donation Methods: Cash, check, corporate gift card redemptions, CAF check, CAF Online, wire transfers, text-to-give donations, donations made via JustGiving, donations made on a GlobalGiving corporate or organizational giving site, or donations made directly to an organization rather than a project.
Please note that all donations are final. GlobalGiving cannot change the time, date, or status of a donation after it is processed for any reason.
Any activity not in the spirit of requesting separate individuals to support donations is being moderated by GlobalGiving and GlobalGiving reserves the right to permanently disqualify organizations for any attempts of misconduct.
Tax Efficient Giving + Fulfillment Fee
Tax Efficiency: GlobalGiving is a registered nonprofit charity in the United States and England and Wales. Donations made by eligible donors in the United States can be claimed as tax deductible contributions on United States tax returns. Donations made by eligible donors in the United Kingdom can claim Gift Aid (an extra 25% added to eligible donations by the UK Government) when they donate in GBP.
Fulfillment Fee: GlobalGiving charges a minimal nonprofit support fee plus a 3% processing fee. For US and UK registered organizations the nonprofit support fee is 5%; for organizations outside the US and UK, it is 7%. During the July 15th Bonus Day, the fee only applies to the initial donation and not to bonus prizes or matching funds earned. The fee helps cover the costs we incur to promote your organization and projects, to provide you with fundraising training and tools, and to maintain and improve our online technology in order to keep you connecting with new donors.
July 15th Bonus Day
The July Bonus Day is two weeks away! Mark your calendar for July 15, GlobalGiving’s one-day campaign aimed at helping us secure large-dollar donations. On July 15th starting at 9 a.m. ET, instead of matching small-dollar donations, GlobalGiving will match donations of $100-$1,000 while funds last.
The higher the donation, the higher the match! At this point, you might be asking, is this how do other nonprofits like us succeed? How does COVID-19 factor into our major gift strategy? "Cityzens Giving for Recovery is a 12-month campaign bringing together all City Football Group clubs, focusing on donations, expertise, facilities, resources, and voice, on making a positive difference to the recovery of the people affected by the Covid-19. As part of this, they are matching donations on their crowdfunding platforms for the funding of nine recovery-linked projects near each of their clubs up to a total of ¥67 million* matched against all donations received on or by 31 August. One of which is YouMeWe NPO. https://www.globalgiving.org/projects/cityzens-giving-for-recovery-yokohama/ YouMeWe’s project will provide support to both the children and staff in care homes in Yokohama, Tohoku, Tokyo and Nagoya. Essential goods will be provided to equip homes with the tools they need to run efficiently and provide a safe environment for children to live and learn. Staff will also be provided with psychosocial support to ensure their own health and wellbeing. Nine Clubs. Thousands of staff. Millions of fans. For Recovery. At Yokohama Marinos FC, will be bringing together the staff and fans to help our communities get back on their feet. YouMeWe NPO is an organization that focuses on supporting orphanages in Japan and has taken part in a campaign to support the recovery of people in need. Once you have donated you can also show your support by sharing campaign messages on social media or fundraising for a project. Click on the project below to find out more and donate. * The CFG match funding is GBP denominated and limited to £500,000 for donations on our platforms until 31 August 2020. Currency conversion value may vary and is provided for illustration only (at the applicable rate on 11 June 2020).

Global Challenge Team YSEALI (Young Southeast Asian Leadership Initiative)
Every week we would like to introduce the teams of our Global Challenge. Team YSEALI. The Young Southeast Asian Leadership Initiative (YSEALI) is a program under the U.S. State Department, aiming to strengthen leadership development and networking in Southeast Asia. YSEALI seeks to build the leadership capabilities of youth in the region and nurture an ASEAN community of leaders who work across borders to solve common issues. Through different YSEALI programs, YSEALI members have the opportunity to join academic and professional exchanges to the US, join regional workshops on education/economic growth/sustainable development/civic engagement, and receive small seeds funding to implement projects that will bring positive changes and impact to the community and the region. During this pandemic situation, YSEALI alumni and members are contributing their efforts in helping communities with different ways and initiatives. Follow #YSEALIHeroes on social media to learn about those activities and projects.
The Global Challenge YSEALI team consists of YSEALI alumni, mentors, and members. Across the region YSEALI has over 140,000 active members and more than 3,500 alumni.
As many of the children in the homes YouMeWe is supporting are multi-cultural, we are thrilled to have YSEALI join us on this journey to give the kids the leadership in many a difference with their lives.
Global Challenge Team JPM Komagata Ryo is doing great!
Global Challenge Team JPM Komagata Ryo is doing great! Our team of 7 come from various backgrounds and fitness levels but the challenge seems to be a great motivator for us all in different ways. 5 of our members are in Japan and 2 in Bali, Indonesia. Distance makes it difficult to get together as a team but technology allows us to communicate, encourage each other and make the most of this challenge. It’s been wonderful to have people step up and contribute their time to help the team by setting up group calls, organizing and creating a team photo and keeping each other motivated and up to date on challenges and information.
2 of our teammates work at an orphanage and clock their steps chasing after the children all day. 1 has found it inspiring to get out daily to make sure he gets his 10K steps and another has gone from couch to marathon walker to make sure he stays at the top while engaging for the first time in social media via the community. Our top teammate in kilometers logged, commutes to work, walks around his neighborhood, gets to the gym for weights and does some extra cycling or jogging to top it off. Our teammate who brought us all together generally gets his steps in his daily activities in the office, chasing his 5 year old around and working up a sweat on his stationary bike in the evenings. I love my long walks on the beach or around our neighborhood and nearby rice fields, a few laps in the pool, dancing around the house, a bit of yoga and generally moving about in day to day activities.
All in all, although we are not all together, we are finding way to make the most of this challenge while having fun and using the competitive nature in us to grow, learn and enjoy the benefits of better health and wellness.
Thank you, YouMeWe for allowing us all to be a part of this with you. We are still trying to figure out how one is able to get 50 to over 100 thousand steps in a day, but there is still time.
Best regards,
Tricia Hedden
Thank you BCCJ for the proceeds from the Online Pub Quiz
We were very fortunate to be a part of the BCCJ Online Pub Quiz on May 12 where the proceeds were raised for the NHS and YouMeWe NPO in Japan.
Thank you, we had so much fun. On Zoom! YouMeWe was lucky enough to have a team that came in 2nd to boot.
Japan's 30,000 hidden assets
We detest the phrase “Throwaway children” We see the children that YouMeWe supports as an asset which we are happy to continue to support and invest in their futures. Their futures will help the country as we struggle with more people over 65 years old per capita and less under 15 years old per capita.

IT Services
Project Management
With offices in Tokyo, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Singapore, EIRE Systems is in a position to provide local, regional, and global IT strategy and technology solutions to its multinational clients.
The EIRE Systems Story
The EIRE Systems Story began with a business partnership between two IT consultants, Matthew Connolly and Paul Timmons, who had a few things in common. Both are originally from Dublin, Ireland and they each first came to Japan as graduates to work at major Japanese technology companies; more importantly they also shared a common interest in the rapidly developing information technology sector and a common goal to establish a company of their own to provide better IT Solutions to the increasingly internationalized Japan market.
Matthew and Paul continued to develop their own professional skills and quickly established themselves as leading independent IT Project Management Consultants, mostly for the Financial Services industry. As EIRE Systems has grown, the company has been very successful in winning and consistently delivering on increasingly more complex and high-profile projects, as a result the business has expanded to provide a wider range of IT Support, Project Management, Consulting and Outsourcing Services to Multinational and internationalized corporate clients across various industries and business sectors.
EIRE Systems’ growth has been mostly organic, and since its inception has expanded to 200 professionals across four office locations including Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore and Shanghai, with proven ability to deliver throughout the Asia Pacific region. The common goals that lead to the creation of EIRE Systems remain the same today as we continue to strive to grow our business to better meet our clients’ requirements and to provide ongoing opportunities and career development for our employees.
