#GivingTuesday became #GivingDecember and with everyone’s help, each child will receive their own gift this year from YouMeWe. In the case of Nagoya, this was done in collaboration with Santa & Friends. Many people went online and purchased and sent to the homes directly through the Amazon Wishlists.
At the end of the day, everyone wants to feel that they exist and that they matter. You can enjoy your holidays knowing that 719 children will know they were remembered. Happy Holidays from the entire team at YouMeWe NPO and we look forward to a very prosperous New Year.
Finally started in Nagoya
We have officially started in Nagoya with our partner Santa & Friends. This has been years in the making. Surprisingly the Encho-Sensei let us give the 6 MacBooks directly to the kids to use as their own. Normally they are shared at the home but a device for each child is ideal.
Thank you Brits at Lunch raised over 320,000 JPY at the annual Christmas lunch
At the Brits at lunch annual Christmas lunch, which was a fundraiser for YouMeWe NPO, there were over 100 people who joined and helped raise funds through raffle prizes, auction and sponsorship. It was a wonderful lunch that may have stretched to dinner... Thank you all very much and very Happy Holidays.
A big thank you to our intern Jessica
We were extremely fortunate to have had Jessica Kirton-Luxford join us as an intern this past month. She immediately dove in and helped with the presentation at IGNITE SENDAI and then moved on to the 53 Stations of Connectivity aka 2020:600 our campaign to put a computer in all 600 children homes in 2020. She mapped out all homes along the 53 stations to start with, organized the letters to the homes, survey and envelopes. She loaded Amazon wishlists with all the presents to be bought for the kids for this holiday season. She worked tirelessly on #GivingTuesday and the enhanced the career assessment test follow up and worksheets. Volunteering at St.Francis and St. Josephs weekly while she was here.
Studying for Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Arts (PPE). Passionate to ensure all children are on as level a playing field as possible.
We look forward to staying in touch with her as she makes it back to home and school in New Zealand today.

We introduced the kids at Matsubaen to Touchy the human camera. We then spent the evening soldering and making their own Touchy Picture frames.
